Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones VeritasCPD uses on this website, and what choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to remember information between requests. Cookies can be "persistent" (stored on your device until they expire or you delete them) or "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser). They are set either by the website you are visiting ("first-party") or by a third-party service embedded in that site ("third-party").
2. Our Position on Cookies
We use the minimum number of cookies necessary to run this website. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not currently run any analytics tools. All cookies listed below are either strictly necessary for the site to function, or are set by a third-party service that protects a specific form from automated abuse.
Because we rely only on strictly-necessary cookies and a security cookie that is essential to the service it protects, we do not currently display a consent banner. If we later introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will add a consent mechanism and update this page before doing so.
3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly-necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. They cannot be switched off in our systems. Blocking them will break core functionality such as logging in or submitting forms.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | First / Third party |
|---|---|---|---|
| XSRF-TOKEN | Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection for form submissions | 2 hours | First-party |
| laravel_session | Identifies your browser session on the server, required for login state and form data | 2 hours (renewed on activity) | First-party |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you signed in between browser sessions if you select "Remember me" at login. Only set when you tick that option. | Up to 5 years (deleted on logout) | First-party |
3.2 Bot-protection cookies (waiting-list page only)
Our waiting-list form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-respecting bot-challenge service. Turnstile sets a small number of short-lived cookies on the challenge widget's domain (not ours) to tell genuine visitors from automated abuse. These cookies are essential to the security of that form.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | First / Third party |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare Bot Management — distinguishes humans from bots on challenged forms | 30 minutes | Third-party (Cloudflare) |
| cf_clearance | Indicates a visitor has passed a Cloudflare security challenge, so they are not re-challenged on subsequent requests | Up to 30 days | Third-party (Cloudflare) |
3.3 Payment cookies (Stripe Checkout)
When you proceed to pay for an order, we redirect you to Stripe Checkout — a payment page hosted on Stripe's own domain. Stripe may set its own cookies on that domain for fraud-prevention and session purposes. We do not control those cookies and they are not set on the VeritasCPD site. Stripe's cookie notice is available at stripe.com/cookie-settings.
4. How to Manage Cookies
4.1 Browser settings
Most web browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their privacy settings. You can usually find these in the "Privacy," "Security," or "Site data" section of your browser's preferences:
4.2 Impact of disabling cookies
All cookies listed above are strictly necessary. Disabling them will prevent you from logging in, submitting forms, or joining the waiting list, as the site cannot verify your session or protect itself from abuse without them.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when this version was published. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will add a consent mechanism and update this page before deploying them.
6. Further Information
For more information about how we collect and use personal data more generally, please read our Privacy Policy. Any questions about this Cookie Policy:
